Freeways Hydrotherapy Pool
Many people are unsure of what hydrotherapy is, but those that use the facility at Freeways fully appreciate the personal benefits and return again and again.
Hydrotherapy means taking physical exercise in water and there are many therapeutic benefits.
Unlike many public swimming baths, our hydrotherapy pool provides a relaxing, safe and supported environment for people of all ages and abilities for individuals or small groups.
Maintained at a constant temperature of 36 degrees the pool is beautifully warm and therapeutic, enabling maximum comfort and relaxation while exercising or immersed in water, or chilling out in the Jacuzzi!
Our friendly and accommodating team provide expert care and support and are fully trained to help those using the pool to get the most out of their hydrotherapy session.
Individual physical exercise programmes are devised by our physiotherapist based on an assessment of people’s individual needs, wishes and capabilities. This can then be supervised and supported by carers, the hydrotherapy team or performed independently.
Ensuring personal safety while maintaining a relaxed and professional environment is really important to the team and maintaining dignity and privacy for all pool users is a key priority. All our poolside staff are trained lifeguards and able to provide first aid if required.
